Chopin: Works for Piano. Vladimir DePachmann (1848-1933), piano. DePachmann, born the year before Chopin died, lived to make these recordings in a manner that allows us to hear him play in reasonably modern sound. These recordings were made around 1920 on an Aeolian Duo-Art recording piano. They were played back for this recording on a 1929 Steinway Duo-Art. Transfer from a 1966 Everest LP, X-921.
